Order Entry Batch
About
- Enter Batch facility is especialy created for customers.
- Customers are able to pre-store their Cargo Office orders (status: batchentry) and to send their orders definitely at any desired afterwards (status: sent).
This is often used, so:
- Rush- and peak-hours for customers can be made less stressfull because they did most of their entries beforehand.
- Orders can be checked later (by different users of the same customer) before it is made a definite order.
- Transport companies are informed beforehand of the expected requests of their customers.
- Most batch order entry functionality uses the same default functions as the regular order entry form.
- An important difference is that batch orders are not sent to the transporters' TMS-software or email address (only after it is sent).
Where to find
- Order Entry Batch is found at:
- for customers: Frontoffice -> Orderentry -> Orderentry form (batch)
- for Cargo Office staff: Backoffice -> Shipments -> Batch Shipments -> New Shipment (batch)
Description
- For data entry functionality see the regular order entry form.
- For any entered batch order you can add an extra (pickup or delivery) address.
This is often requested when you need to visit numerous delivery addresses for the same order.
- 2. Click button Extra Address.
- Consequently a sub-shipment (.01) is created in which you can modify order details.
- When modifying order details check if you have to rearrange quantities of the base shipment (.00).
- The sub-shipments are displayed in the top left corner of your batch entry form.
- So you are able to switch easily from one sub-shipment to the next.
- The maximum amount of sub shipments is 99.
- Sub-shipments have become individual orders, but can be grouped by the original shipment ID (the number before the .00, .01, etc).
- Order details concerning all sub-shipments (often financially related) are stored in the base shipment (.00).
- The Extra Address functionality is similar to: How to split jobs.
- On request Cargo Office Programmers can develop different forms or solutions per customer for you.
