BOL Templates

• The bol template is often refered to as Bill of Lading.
• The bol template can display all relevant values of a particulair shipment.
• Every customer or user is able to print a bol template after entering a new shipment.
  • How to modify your browser print settings, read: Print and page setup.
• At the bottom of a bol template a possibilty is given to add a signature.
• Note: A Bol template is often confused with a booking template. Booking templates are displayed in your overview of active orders when clicking dossier, orderID or shipmentID. Booking templates are different, because they also generate an overview of statusses of a particualir shipment.
• There is also a possibility to print CMR's, read more in: CMR templates.
• Printing ability for the Bol template (Bill of Lading) can be found at:
  • After a new shipment is added.
  • Inside the "Overview of Batch Orders" and clicking the Bol-symbol (white square in blue background).
  • In the "with selected" function at the bottom end of the Active Shipments grid.

Extra functionality

• Cargo Office administrators have the option to call, create and maintain different BOL templates from their own carrier ftp-environment.
• It is always possible to sent Cargo Office Programmers a request to create a custom built template.
  If desired use your bug tracking system to sent these request preferably together with a screenprint of your wishes.

PDF-printing

• Currently we have the option to print BolTemplates in pdf-format.
• If interested sent Cargo Office programmers a request by using your bug tracking system.

Specific requests

• Specific templates are often created for specific customers, using specific fields.
• If there is any field you like to have added to a boltemplate, please tell us the name of this field (check if this field is used inside the orderentry template) and send us a request by using your bug tracking system.
• Please note that after printing any of these documents the result can depend on the printer and browser settings of the user who is actually printing the document. It is impossible for Cargo Office distributors to control these settings. So it is impossible to give any guarantee the hardcopy results will be satisfactury, although the default template will fit in almost every A4-page.
  • Any user is able to change the settings of his browser in Page setup.
  • For custom made templates the cargoOffice administrator should instruct their users how to configure their browser and printer settings.
    Creating these templates is a check-error procedure between a Cargo Office programmer and a Cargo Office administrator. In general production costs will be calculated afterwards, because programmers are unable to check the outcome at the users desk.
    Note, even if the result is not satisfactury these costs could be implied.
• The templates described below we can copy on a one to one basis and upload for a specific carrier or customer. This could be done for a fixed price.
• It is possible to create a different template per customer.
• It is also possible to create templates in different languages.

Different templates

• For different types of transport, different kinds of templates have been created.
• If you like to have a template custom built, start searching below for a template that is fitting you best.

Default template

• This is the default template which most carriers are using as a starting point.
• A similar template is described here.

Extra company details template

• Extra company details are displayed like:
  • Email, fax, reference, contact, phone.
  • Note: in general all fields known in de orderentry template could be displayed in this template.

Collective template

• Different fields are displayed like:
  • Pickup-delivery remarks and different goodlinesfields.

Bulk haulage and tanker template

• The bulk haulage and tanker template uses specific fields like:
  • Permit No, Liters, Volume, Loading No, etc.
• Note: the pickup details part is skipped.

Container template

• The container template uses specific fields like:
  • Voyage No, Vessel Name, Shipping line, Container No, etc.

Default waste management template

• The default waste management template uses specific fields like:
  • Permit No and Liters.
• Note: the delivery details part is skipped.

2 part copy template

• NOTE: this template is custom built. Implementation and modifications are done at a check-error base and will be calculated afterwards.
• It consists of a delivery copy and a receiver copy.

3 part copy template

• NOTE: this template is custom built. Implementation and modifications are done at a check-error base and will be calculated afterwards.
• This template is also used as booking template and consists of three different parts.
  The first part is for the transporters office/administration, the second part is used as POD, the third part is for the receiving party.

3 pages 3 part template

• NOTE: this template is custom built. Implementation and modifications are done at a check-error base and will be calculated afterwards.
• This template consists of three different parts on three different pages.
  The first part is for the transporters office/administration, the second part is used as POD, the third part is for the receiving party.
• On each tamplate a box for pallet administration is added.
