General description of the Warehouse system

  • Warehouse is used by companies to digitalize their warehouse orders. This creats a better overview of all goods available in stock.
  • Goods (or articles or items or products) can be stored at a certain location inside your warehouse.
  • With help of the batch-facility orders can be sent orders to the cargoOffice later on.
  • Automated addition and deduction of products can be realised.
  • There is un unlimited amount of orders that can be entered to the warehouse order entry system.
  • Some ordereoutput connections to TMS products have been realised. Ask your supplier for more information or send us a request by using your bug tracking system.
  • The warehouse system is also used for crossdocking.
  • Inside cargoOffice the warehouse system is called warebox.

How to start, create users

  • First you have to create users. You are able to restrict access to users, depending on the kind of information you like to share.
    Note: To create users you have to be a level-70 user yourself.

How to use the warehouse form

  • Customers can access the warehouse order entry form in the frontoffice (if provided with a login code).
    Staff can access the warehouse order entry form in the backoffice.
  • Warehouse orders can be inserted direct or as batch.
  • Below you see our default warehouse order entry form. This form is template based. If you like different fields, than contact your supplier.

  • 1. Extra rows form. If more goodslines are needed, click this tab-button.
    This is a template based form, see: WarehouseextrarowsTemplate.
  • 2. General data concerning customer, reference, shipment type and COD.
  • 3. Pickup- and delivery addresses, details, dates and times.
  • 4. Formerly used addresses are saved per customer. This way new order entries are processed faster.
    • If you like large amounts of customer addresses to be inserted into your system, contact your supplier.
    • For an overview of all inserted addresses inside your Cargooffice, see: CustomerAddresses. In this function you are also able to change or to add new addresses.
  • 5. Data entry for goods.
  • 6. By pressing the defaults button all present data entries are saved and will turn up when filling in a next order.
  • 7. By using the clear button all present data in the form are cleared as well as all present saved default settings.
  • 8. By pressing submit, all inserted data is sent to the cargoOffice overview of active orders.
  • 9. When selecting an article dropdown box, you see the same funcionality with the same items as explained below by "Warehouse Goods List".
  • All other dropdown-boxes also have values which can be modified per customer, see settings warehouse and modify table contents concerning your wishes.
  • Inside the form there are a lot of (invisible) checks concerning data-import. Depending on your wishes fields can be made as required data fields.
  • Mind that the above shown form is only the most used warehouse form.
    • The warehouse orderentry form is template based. We know every company is different, using a lot of different fields. It is possible to show a different template per customer.

Batch Overview

  • All inserted batch orders are listed inside "Overview of warehouse orders".
    An overview of all orders are displayed in your active shipments.

  • 1. Make a selection from which customer you like to have an overview of current batchorders.
  • 2. Make a selection from which delivery date you like to have an overview of current batchorders.
  • 3. Sort your batchorders.
  • 4. Batch users are able to upload order files. These files needs to have a certain layout. Read more in: EdiHowto
  • 5. For every order/shipment you can see/print the booking details.
    Bookingdetails are template based. Another template can be created/inserted, read more in: BookingTemplates
  • 6. Multiple orders can be selected. For selected orders certain actions can be chosen.
  • 7. Datafield columns can be modified in Backoffice -> Settings -> Warehouse -> Table: batchListColumns.
  • 8. Edit this order.

Warehouse Goods List

  • You can find the goods list in: Backoffice -> Shipments -> Warehouse.
  • Inside the goods list you are able to maintain all goods/products/items from your warehouse system.

  • 1. Search for earlier inserted articles/goods/products.
  • 2. When adding a new product or editing an existing product a new window is opened.
    This is a template based form described in: WarehouseproductTemplate
  • 3. Delete this product.
  • 4. Different column fields. It is possible to maintain these fields from a warehouse parameter.

Product Status Actions

  • For every available status we can create a particulair status action.
    • For instance: when reaching a particulair status, you can sent notifications to certain users or parties involved.
  • This system is almost equal to the status actions as described in ShipmentStatus.
    • If you have certain wishes start drawing a diagram about what kind of action should be triggered when reaching a particulair status.
