There are multiple ways to communicate with Cargo Office:
   * To Cargo Office or from Cargo Offic.
   * By using automated or manual services.
   * Through actions of machines, devices or humans.

   * <strong><em>EDI messages</em></strong><br />Cargo Office offers:
      * [[EdiStandard][Standard EDI formats]]
      * [[EdiDatatransfer][Standard transport methods]]
      * [[EdiStatusUpdates][Standard update formats]]
      * Lots of different output formats for TMS and FMS<br />E.g.: Exact, Fortras, GMT, ILN, Interchain, LPtrans, Nachon, Parsis, Plan & Go, Quickbooks/Reckon Accounts, Road Runner, Snelstart, Talis, Twinfield, Ware Runner, Xero.<br /><em>Keep in mind</em>, these formats are "such as", often based on the settings of the receiving party. Implementation could take extra programming, depending on the requests of the receiving application.
      * Hundreds of custom made EDI parsers. <br />These can be based on rare logical files, but also on Edifact, DESADV, HANMOV, IFCSUM, IFTMIN. We often consider this work as [[EdiSpecial][special EDI formats]].
   * __On Board Computers__
      * In the past numerous connections of [[EdiSpecial][special EDI formats]] have been made.
   * __Mobile data terminals__ like PDA's, smartphones, tablets, etc

      * If your question path is different from Cargo Office default set up, on request we could create additional programs

      * Cargo Office programmers have developed multiple custom made apps.
      * If a specific app is desired, sent Cargo Office programmers an outline or specifications of your wishes.

Cargo Office is able to inform different types of users, e.g.: consignees, drivers, customers, etc.
   * <em><strong>Status code actions</strong><br /></em>There are different options to communicate through actions: execute a program, send a message, use dynamic database fields, see [[ManualStatuscodes][description of status code actions]].
   * <strong><em>Messages to drivers </em></strong><br />There are different options to sent messages:
      * From [[NodesMessages][driver or node screen]]
      * From [[DispatchSendmessage][dispatch nodes]]
   * __SMS or text messages__
      * Your text message can be sent to any SMS account of your choice.
      * Your message can be sent at any moment of status change or [[BackofficeSettingsDescription][scheduled action]].
      * Your message can be filled with any order detail available inside Cargo Office.
      * Costs involved for the use of the SMS application are a set-up fee and a monthly fee. <br /> After a certain amount of messages, the price per message becomes less. <br />The amount of sent messages are visible in [[CargoofficeReporting][your Cargo Office reporting environment]].
      * [[SmsOverview][Overview of SMS]] messages can also be checked.
   * <img alt="Twitter" height="20" src="%ATTACHURL%/icon_twitter.png" title="Twitter" width="20" /> __Twitter messages__ <br />When using Twitter, Cargo Office is able to sent direct messages.
      * Your message can be sent to any Twitter account of your choice.

      * Your message can be filled with any order detail available inside Cargo Office.
      * Costs involved for the use of a Twitter application are a set-up fee and a monthly fee. <br />Roughly it's half of the costs of SMS-messages. <br />The amount of sent messages will become visible in [[CargoofficeReporting][your Cargo Office reporting environment]].
